American bulldog association is formed to setup standards for this dog breed and guidelines for their training.
There is a great history of that breed. They were working dogs and guarded the herds from wild animals and they also used to be fight dogs that participated in the bloody shows called bull bating where they had to fight bulls, lions or bears.
