Animals of this breed have the wide set eyes that give them a wider range of vision to the rear. Their hooves are black and hard; they are almost round in shape. They have stout, round cannon bones and straight legs.

These animals have strong hocks short, strong backs. Their rump is round without a crease. The shoulders are powerful and rounded. The chest is wide and deep.
