Alaskan History Malamute

As the name of the breed suggests, it originated in the harsh environment of Alaska. Mahlemuts, an Inuit tribe, used these dogs to pull their equipment from one campsite to another. These dogs were used for transportation during the times of gold rush in Alaska.
