As that breed is very difficult to cope with because of its disobedient character their owners may throw an animal away. That often happens because of the irresponsibility of the owners who treat a dog as a toy. Thus the dogs get on the street.

There are special organizations that help the animals that are in danger or mistreated or abused or lost. If an animal for example is found on the street by a person who cannot take care of it the latter may bring it to the center where it will be cured, fed and so on. Akita midwest rescue will provide corrective training of the dogs if there is a behavioral problem.
